6 Things I Want to Say to My Friend’s Children

There are many ways to express our love for people in our lives. I want my friend’s children to know that I will love them the same as my own. I have many things on my mind. And so I have decided to put them down in short pieces for my best friend’s children so when they are reading this, they know someone out there cares for them.

1. Your Number One Fan

You need to know that I am your number one fan. I am rooting for your, forever and always. No matter which track you take in life, I will be there to cheer you on. I will support your dreams and never belittle the path you choose for yourself. I will always be there to tell you that you are good enough.

2. You Have a Friend in Me

I will always be your friend. If you ever feel down and want to talk to someone you can trust, you can come to me. I know that sometimes we all want to talk to responsible adults who are not our parents. I will be your shoulder to cry on. You can always trust me with your secrets and little stories that you want to share.

3. Bonus Mom

I know how fun it can be to have a bonus mom. Just like your parent is my children’s bonus mom, I will be yours. We will have great fun baking, watching movies and talking. I will actively participate in your growth as a person. I want you to know that you are in safe hands because you will be with someone your mommy loves too.

4. No Judgment

Just as I have been there for your mom, I will be there for you. If you are stuck and need a ride, just give me a call. If you want to talk about your love life, I will lend an ear. You do not have to feel alone. I will not judge you but only be your company and friend. I know life gets difficult when you are growing up.

5. I Will Get Emotional

You have to know that I will get emotional whenever I see you get where you want to. When you win a race, ace a competition and graduate, I will bawl my eyes out. I don’t even know how much of that I will do when you move out. I will be emotionally invested in your life and well-being because I want you to have that love and support.

6. You Are Loved

I am letting you know all of this because I want you to know that you are loved. You have support just as my children do from your mother. You kids will never be on your own. I will be strong for you when you cannot do it on your own. It means everything to me to let you know that you are loved unconditionally.

Your Mother’s Best Friend.
